Our sweet new suite is finally finished (Took us 13 months to build a whole house - two full years to finish a little 1- bedroom suite - but who's counting). Had a nice tenant all ready to move in September 1st and she phones August 30 to tell us that she can't move after all. (court order due to divorce proceedings? - I'm not going to ask for the details) So now our poor lonely suite is sitting empty just waiting for someone to move in and love it. It is very lovable.
Here's our ad that we're going to post at the Richmond Hospital and Kwantlen college since the bus down the street runs right past both of those institutions. It's also on Craigslist.
Available Now: New 1-Bedroom Suite in Steveston
$925/Month including utilities
A fabulous location for a transit user and/or cyclist; on a bicycle lane and two bus routes.
Take a 10-minute walk into Steveston Village or hop on the C93 out front to go into Steveston Village or the other direction to Riverport .
Just around the corner catch the Gilbert/Bridgport bus to go directly to Richmond Centre; the Canada Line station; Richmond Hospital or Kwantlen College.
This is a brand-new suite in a custom designed house with a private entrance and alarm system. Features:
- radiant in-floor heating
- travertine marble tiled galley kitchen
- full-size stove & fridge
- tiled bathroom with full-size tub (& shower)
- carpeted bedroom
- new washer and dryer in suite
The first two pics are in the ad, threw in an extra one here.
Kim & the boys installed the kitchen, I did the Pergo floors and all the tiling except the tub walls.
We kept the colours all very neutral. So neutral in fact that I had to do a little 'staging' for the photos so the rooms didn't look so stark. They're just waiting for someone to add their own personality now.
Now that that job is done next on the list is:
-landscaping our backyard.
Yay, another archaelogical dig to do with lots of left-over construction materials and other buried crap waiting to be dug up and sifted through.
Kim's spearheading this one since I took on doing the same in the front yard -all by myself.
